Client Description
- A large technology distribution company experiencing significant growth thru acquisitions and expansion of their European and Americas businesses.
Environment At Point Of Engagement
- Most of the management team were brought into the company thru acquisitions or hiring from outside. Very little of the senior managers were promoted from within. No succession planning process was in place. Managers were committed to their business unit but not to a company wide strategy. The elements of a long term growth strategy were not well defined and management wasn’t committed to a company wide plan.
Consulting Engagement
- ePartnerships consultants worked with the client to develop a leadership strategy and model for implementation through a management development program and a succession planning process. The consulting team also worked with senior management to define and implement a strategic growth plan (the O.S.T. process) for implementation across all of the business units.
Results
- Most of the new managers were promoted from within. Morale has improved among the employees and management team. The “Leadership Forum” is getting rave reviews and is highly desired by all managers. Improved teamwork across the company has lead to improved business results and a “winning” company culture. The strategic planning process has all of the business units cooperating in driving the key profit and revenue growth elements.
